• How many people live in the United States?

A third of Americans knew that the U.S. population is over 300 million people. But more than half of all Americans have an outsized picture of how big we are. They guessed between 500 million and a billion. We may be the world's greatest nation, but not in population.

China has over a billion more people than we do and India soon will as well. In fact, despite our power and might, America is home to less than five percent of the world's population.

It's scarey that 11 percent said yes to killing your for a million dollars. They must be Republicans.

Hell yes, bring back the draft, but conscript EVERYONE, male and female, into some kind of national service. And no passes for politicians' or the well-connected's offspring or their friends either. I was around for the Vietnam draft and signed up for it but was not "chosen." The draft will surely put a damper on the United States entering willy-nilly into just any old war, and make service more equitable.
