How much pressure to crush a concrete cylinder?

(CBS News) While we like to have a lot of fun in terms of the content we highlight here at The Feed, every once in a while we need to take time to educate, too. And that time is now. So let's find out just how much pressure it takes to crush a concrete cylinder in this science video above. Do you want to try and take a guess? The results come in at about 1:40 into the clip.

Find calm emulating this spinning Hawaiian monk seal

(CBS News) I'm a big believer that one of the absolute best ways to find calm during the day is to emulate the "spinning Hawaiian monk seal". Wait, are you saying you've never heard of this meditative form? Then I suggest you take a moment to watch and learn above.

"Game of Thrones" meets Disney in musical parody

(CBS News) While we're all loving (don't disagree with me on this point!) HBO's epic television version of the much-beloved "The Game of Thrones" book series (and I did manage to get caught up on the latest episode for those wondering), things could have gone in very different directions. And one of our favorite musical parody groups with an affinity for princesses has decided to play out one version of what-might-have-been above. Click play to get your laugh on.

Footage of firefighters in action is simply unreal

(CBS News) Wow, I don't even know where to begin with this one... in short, the level of resolution capable on a camera has led to the creation of this truly powerful video above that shows firefighters in action like you have never, ever seen them before. Cat posing in mirror either curious or very vain

(CBS News) I've been guilty of doing a quick touch-up from time to time when I come across a mirror or reflective surface. Is it vanity? Possibly. (But in my defense, I have longer hair that gets mussed up really easily). Which leads me to the video above of a cat who is either very vain or totally confused by what she is seeing in the mirror. Curiosity? Extremely vain? Take a look.

When reactions are better than animal antics moment

(CBS News) Admittedly, a raccoon performing a "tightrope walk" across telephone wires is not something you see every day. But the focus of this post is on whether the reactions to an event like that captured on tape become even better than the random moment itself. So check out our first item above with the aforementioned raccoon routine and judge for yourself.

"Game of Thrones" gets an awesome cello tribute

(CBS News) I'll start by saying that under no circumstances should anyone comment with spoilers about last night's episode of "Game of Thrones". (I'm going to watch it as soon as I get home!) With that out of the way, your blogger here has read every book in the series so far and seen every episode (with one exception!), so was compelled to post this up the moment I saw it. Check out an awesome cello cover that would make even eternally-grim Jon Snow crack a smile.
