Two toddlers being almost too cute for words
(CBS News) I've always speculated that if we could harness the cuteness of toddlers into an energy source, the world would be set for eternity. (Scientists, get on it!) And to reinforce the point, I've got two toddlers for you being almost too cute for words. I only throw out the word "almost" because, well, I do have to try and write about them. We start off with the "bedtime bandit" above.
Continue »Absolutely stunning time-lapse of Aurora Borealis
(CBS News) I have birthday coming up soon, and have been doing a bit of reflecting on life, love, work, the universe (and everything in-between). While there are so many things to be excited about, there's also a multitude that have me a bit on edge. And then I watched the video above and felt a calmness wash over me. So what I'm basically saying is that I highly recommend you click play and check out this absolutely stunning time-lapse of Aurora Borealis. There is a set-up of the context you should see, but the actual time-lapse kicks in after the 1-minute mark.
Continue »Illusion with reconfigured tiles will astound you
(CBS News) Okay, this is one of those videos where I have a theory on what's actually occurring, but am not certain. So what I'm going to do is ask is that while you watch the video above (which should totally astound you!), think over what is happening and how it's happening. M'kay?
Continue »Excellent music mashup and homage to video games
(CBS News) Do you love music? Do you enjoy video games? (And do you hate written, rhetorical questions that you can't really answer?) If you said "yes" (and probably even if you didn't), then you're going to absolutely love this music mashup that pays homage to both above.
Continue »Double dose of bizarre feats to start your week
(CBS News) I figure since I just doubled up on videos in my last post, there's absolutely no reason not to double down again (or double-double, if you will). So let's take a look at two offbeat and bizarre feats, starting with a triple Rubik's Cube solve - wait for it - while juggling!
Continue »Two incredible ski jumps (for price of one post)
(CBS News) We're having a special today on ski jumps: for the price of viewing this one post, you get two incredible and very different feats! We start off with a singular experience in the form of the first-person perspective video above that first shows the high-flying moment from the front and then the back at 42 seconds (sadly, not side-to-side). I'd recommend watching in high-definition (and possibly with a fan blowing on your face) to vicariously experience it for yourself.
Continue »Friday Music Round-Up: Drop it like it's hot edition
(CBS News) I swear, sometimes there's not enough time in the world to get everything done. And while that has definitely been true for your blogger here this week, there's one thing I'm not going to let fall through the cracks: The Feed's Friday Music Round-Up! So seeing as I've been on a slow-motion kick of late, it's only fitting that our first item would incorporate the effect. Click play to watch Vampire Weekend's red-hot music video for their song "Diane Young" above.

(CBS News) I've got something of a riddle for you with this post: Do you know what's better than watching an amazing display of talent and skill on a BMX bike? Watching it in super slow-motion and super high-definition, that's what! Watch it unfold very, very slowly above.
Continue »Choir performs an "Ode to Sleep Deprived Parents"
(CBS News) While I have yet to experience the pleasure of marriage and parenthood myself, a lot of my friends have at this point in time. (Mom, don't harp on this right now, I'm working. Look, I'm putting myself out there, okay?) And if there is one thing they talk about often, it's the lack of sleep that comes from having a baby. Which segues perfectly into the video above of some iconic music with a slight variation that should speak (err, sing) to parents everywhere. Take a look and listen.
