Catholic School Principal Allison Brant Busted for Sex With Male Teen

NEW YORK (CBS/AP) The former principal of a Roman Catholic elementary school who was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 7 and charged with rape and sodomy involving a 15-year-old boy has acknowledged having sex with the teen, according to police.

Allison M. Brant, 31, who resigned from her job as principal of St. Mary of the Woods in Whitesville, Ky. also faces four misdemeanor counts of supplying four teens with alcohol.

Angel Valley Resort: Two Dead, Many Hospitalized in Sedona Sweat Lodge Illness

PHOENIX (CBS/AP) Two people have died and an estimated 19 others were hospitalized after falling ill in a Sedona retreat sweat lodge in Phoenix, Ariz., authorities said.

Approximately 50 people were in a crudely constructed "sweatbox" next to an open sitting area at the 70-acre (28-hectare) Angel Valley resort Thursday evening, Yavapai County sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn said. The facility nestled in the forest near Sedona provides spiritual retreats.

LEBANON, Pa. (CBS/AP) Pennsylvania mom Meleanie Hain believed so strongly in the right to bear arms that she gained national notoriety for packing a pistol to her 5-year-old daughter's soccer game and later sued the sheriff who revoked, albeit temporarily, her license to carry. Her car had a National Rifle Association bumper sticker that read "NRA law enforcement."

But guns didn't save Meleanie Hain.

Tony Fein Death: Baltimore Ravens Hopeful and Iraq Vet Dies in Washington

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. (CBS/AP) Baltimore Ravens hopeful and Iraq War veteran Tony Fein has died in Washington State, according to an agent for the player. The cause of death for the 27-year-old is not yet known.

Agent Milton D. Hobbs told The Baltimore Sun that Fein died Tuesday in Port Orchard, Wash., but he had no immediate details about his death.

NASSAU, Bahamas (CBS/AP) A hidden-camera videotape detailing negotiations between a lawyer for John Travolta and a former Bahamian lawmaker is now at the center of the extortion trial regarding the death of the actor's son.

The tape shows Pleasant Bridgewater, a former senator in the Bahamas, telling Travolta's lawyer Michael McDermott that an ambulance driver who treated Jett Travolta is asking at least $20 million not to release a private document to the media.
