Pa. sheriff arrested for two alleged threats

(CBS) BEAVER, Pa. - The sheriff of Beaver County, Pa. was arrested this week and faces 11 charges including making terroristic threats, simple assault, and intimidation of witnesses stemming from a pair of alleged angry tirades, CBS Pittsburgh reported.

Wash. St. to K9's: No more sniffing around for marijuana

Drug-sniffing police dogs will not be on the prowl for marijuana in Washington State due to an easing of the law regarding pot possession.

(CBS/AP) SEATTLE - The training manual for drug-sniffing dogs is being re-written by some law enforcement groups in Washington State, to teach the K-9's to ignore marjiuana.

The change comes after voters in November legalized the possession of small amounts of pot.

(CBS) WILMINGTON, Del.- A Delaware man has been arrested after trying to conceal crack cocaine - 25 bags of it - in his buttocks.

According to CBS Philly, police say that during a drug investigation in Wilmington on Wednesday, 23-year-old Marlon Lindsey attempted to conceal the crack (so to speak).

(CBS/AP) NEW YORK - A man who has been behind bars since 1990 for killing a Brooklyn rabbi could be set free today, after prosecutors told a judge they support tossing out his conviction.

David Ranta is to appear Thursday in N.Y. state court, where a judge will rule on a defense motion to vacate Ranta's second-degree murder conviction in the fatal shooting of Rabbi Chaskel Werzberger.
