April Fools: Calif. man concocts fake plane crash

This is an experimental aircraft - not the one used by a Yucaipa, Calif. man to stage a fake plane crash - but it gives you some idea of the lengths to which he went to pull off an April Fools Day prank.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports that a businessman in Yucaipa, in Southern California, made believe a small plane had crashed in front of his equipment rental business Monday, by using a forklift to maneuver the aircraft to look like it nosedived into a fence.

Dispute over dip leads to customer-employee fight

According to CBS Detroit, Michigan police say a couple of women who didn't like the dip that came with their pretzels at the Oakland Mall went back to the store where they bought the snacks and traded blows with the folks behind the counter.

(CBS) CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. - A suitcase left in a Northern California mall let to the arrest of a 15-year-old girl, police in Citrus Heights said.

Police said the teen was arrested Saturday for leaving the luggage in the middle of a walkway at Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights in order to scare people, CBS Sacramento reported.

Teen serial burglar captured, say South Miami cops

(CBS) SOUTH MIAMI - Police in South Miami say they have arrested a 16-year-old serial burglar who broke into more than 30 homes there and in Miami-Dade since January, taking at least $15,000 in property from the victims, CBS Miami reported.

According to the station, the suspect was nabbed by while allegedly trying to break into a home amid police surveillance.

Sydney Levin, drug convict, is in new trouble for allegedly trying to thwart a urine test by using a...how do you say...fake penis.

(CBS) ST. LOUIS - A Missouri man has been arrested and accused of...wait for it...using a prosthetic penis to foil a drug test.

Authorities say Sydney Levin was giving a urine sample last week as part of his probation, when police noticed him using the prosthetic device known as a Whizzinator.
