Cops: Man stole artifacts, now charged in hit-and-run

(CBS) ANNAPOLIS, Md. - A man authorities say stole $68,000 in historic Civil War memorabilia last summer now has another problem.

All these months later, the alleged perpetrator of the "history heist," Jason Bowen, has now been charged in a hit-and-run crash that almost killed a bicyclist during his getaway with all those artifacts.

Police: Mayor of small Kentucky town shot dead

(CBS/AP) HICKMAN, Ky. - Authorities say the mayor of a small Kentucky town was shot dead Monday morning in his home, and a suspect turned himself in shortly after the incident.

30-year-old Thomas Joseph Lattus walked into the Hickman police station around 1 a.m. and told an officer he had just shot Mayor Charles Murphy. Police Chief Tony Grogan said an officer went to the mayor's home and found his body in the bedroom.

(CBS) JOLIET, Ill. - Drew Peterson said the Lifetime made-for-TV movie about his legal troubles that aired over the weekend was "hysterical."

CBS Chicago reports Peterson watched the movie in the Will County Jail, and chuckled several time during the film. Peter's attorney and the family of his missing fourth wife Stacy Peterson think "Drew Peterson: Untouchable" is laughable and full of mistakes.

Wrestler Andre Davis given 32 years in HIV case

(CBS/WKRC/AP) CINCINNATI - A judge has sentenced former professional wrestler Andre Davis to 32 years in prison for having sex with women and not telling them he was HIV positive.

CBS affiliate WKRC reports Davis' HIV positive condition was revealed when the mother of his two children found his testing paperwork. She passed it on to many of his other girlfriends.

Teen Fla. police impostor has bond revoked

(CBS) MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - A judge in Osceola County has revoked the bond for an 18-year-old accused of impersonating a physician assistant and then a cop.

The Orlando Sentinel reports Matthew Scheidt will be brought back to the county jail as soon as he can be released from a lockup in Miami-Dade, where he is being held after his arrest for impersonating a police officer last week.
