Man Robs Sandwich Shop With Threat of HIV

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (CBS) He claimed to be a walking deadly weapon and walked away with cash, but was it a hoax?

Delaware State police say that an unidentified man entered a Rehoboth Beach area sandwich shop claiming to have "AIDS" and brandishing a hypodermic needle he said was filled with the HIV virus.

The employee said that the man threatened to stick him with the needle unless he handed over the cash from the register.

Lloyd R. Woodson Busted with Weapons Cache, Map of Military Base, Headdress, Say NJ Cops

BRANCHBURG, N.J. (CBS/AP) What exactly Lloyd R. Woodson intended to do with a cache of semi automatic rifles, a grenade launcher, night vision goggles and a map of a U.S. military base is not yet clear, say New Jersey police, but they arrested the 43-year-old on multiple weapons charges after he led them on a chase through the woods.

Somerset County Prosecutor Wayne Forrest said Woodson was wearing a bulletproof vest and carrying a semiautomatic Bushmaster rifle concealed under his green, military-style jacket when, shortly before 4 a.m. Monday, officers encountered him at a Quick Chek store in Branchburg, N.J., about an hour west of New York City.

SALT LAKE CITY (CBS/AP) Gary Coleman is out. The former child actor was released from a Utah jail Monday after being arrested over the weekend on a warrant relating to a domestic violence charge, police said.

Santaquin Police Chief Dennis Howard said officers went to the "Diff'rent Strokes" star's home after a domestic disturbance call Sunday afternoon. Howard said they arrested Coleman, 41, on the warrant and booked him into the Utah County Jail.

WELLINGTON, Fla. (CBS/AP) Neal Jacobson's friends and neighbors are struggling to understand what apparently drove the 49-year-old to murder his wife and 7-year-old twins during the early hours of Jan. 23, the same day the two boys were to celebrate their seventh birthday.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies say that Jacobson crashed his SUV near his home in the gated community of Isles in Southern Florida, and when paramedics responded they found him covered with blood, and ammunition in the car, according to CBS affiliate WPEC.

WARM SPRINGS, Ga. (CBS/WGCL/AP) Georgia mom Lynn Geter forced her son to smash his pet hamster to death with a hammer when the boy presented her with a bad grade, according to police.
