NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Italian con man Raffaello Follieri, who went from dating actress Anne Hathaway to serving a prison term for fraud, won't be getting his high-priced jewelry back any time soon.

Uncle Sam wants to sell it off and Hathaway isn't going to stop them.

According to court papers obtained by the New York Post, the actress had until February to claim ownership of the gifts Follieri spoiled her with, which included two Rolex watches, a five-strand pearl necklace, gold-colored rings, and a Louis Vuitton jewelry box.Continue »

PITTSBURGH (CBS/KDKA/AP) Andrea Curry-Demus will spend the rest of her life in jail for luring a pregnant teen to her apartment, drugging her, killing her, and cutting the child from the womb so she could pass it off as her own.

BLANTYRE, Malawi (CBS/AP) Last December, Steven Monjeza and Tiwonge Chimbalanga, a Malawi gay couple, celebrated their engagement with a party that drew crowds of curious, jeering onlookers.

But they've been in jail ever since and were convicted on Tuesday in a Malawi court of unnatural acts and gross indecency.

Monjeza, 26, and Chimbalanga, 20, could be imprisoned for up to 14 years. They will be sentenced Thursday.Continue »

WOBURN, Massachusetts (CBS/AP) Veritas -- that is to say, truth -- was the last thing on the mind of a Delaware man who allegedly faked his way into Harvard and duped the Ivy League school out of $45,000 in financial aid, grants and scholarships.

Adam Wheeler, 23, was admitted to Harvard and became a student in 2007 after he falsely claimed he had a perfect academic record at Phillips Academy in Andover and had studied for a year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, prosecutors said Monday. Continue »
