Despite Inclement Weather, Obama Supporters Turn Out in Pa.

(CHESTER, PA.) Several thousand people braved the freezing rain attend a Barack Obama rally at Widener University this morning. The impressive crowd provided an encouraging sign for the Barack Obama, who immediately recognized the dedication of his supporters.

"This is an unbelievable crowd for this kind of weather. Thank you so much. And I just want all of you to know if we see this kind of dedication on Election Day – there is no way that we're not going to bring change to America," he said as the crowd cheered on.

Obama Campaign Unaware of Alleged Assassination Plot

(PITTSBURGH) - Moments after landing at the Pittsburgh International Airport this afternoon, the Obama campaign learned that the ATF had arrested two men in conjunction with an alleged assassination plot against the Democratic nominee. Obama arrived here for an evening rally at Mellon Arena.

Although the ATF said they shared information of the arrests with the Secret Service, the agents traveling with Obama were not aware of the plot.

Obama Delivers "Closing Argument"

(CANTON, OHIO) - In his "closing argument" speech today, Barack Obama stressed the urgency and importance of the election, calling on supporters to keep working through Election Day.

"We can't afford to slow down, sit back, or let up for one day, one minute, or one second in this last week. Not now. Not when so much is at stake," Obama said before a crowd of over 4,000 supporters.

Obama Kicks Off Final Week With "Closing Argument" Speech

(CHICAGO) - In the last eight days of the election, Barack Obama is expected to play it safe and keep his message focused on John McCain and the economy. He will deliver his "closing argument" in Canton, Ohio today which will largely mirror the speeches that he has given for over a month now.

"Consistency is comforting to voters," senior adviser Linda Douglass said last night on the flight from Denver to Chicago.

100,000 Greet Obama in Denver

(DENVER) - Barack Obama drew a crowd of 100,000, according to police estimates, in his third visit to Colorado since the Democratic Convention. Speaking at Civic Center Park in downtown Denver, Obama appeared to be stunned by the sea of supporters.

"Goodness gracious! Who are those folks way at the top of the capitol over there? Unbelievable!" he said to cheers.

Obama Heads To Colorado

(ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.) - Barack Obama continues his swing through western battleground states today, with two campaign stops in Colorado.

A Democrat has not carried the state since 1992, when Bill Clinton won by a double-digit margin. In the last three presidential elections, Republicans have won Colorado by less than 10 points. In 2004, George Bush beat John Kerry 52% to 47%.

Obama Intensifies Tone Against McCain, Calls His Attacks "Loco"

(LAS VEGAS) - Barack Obama continued to ratchet up his rhetoric against John McCain tonight, signaling that with ten days to go until the election, he is ready for a fight. At a stadium rally at Bonanza High School, Obama suggested that McCain's attacks are "loco", Spanish for "crazy", and that he is "throwing the kitchen sink at him."

Instead of talking about the economy, Obama said McCain is focusing on attacking him. "They've throwing everything at us, including the kitchen sink – all 7 of those kitchen sinks he's been throwing at me," Obama said, perhaps referring to McCain's multiple homes.

Obama: "Not an Inch of Daylight Between" McCain and Bush

(RENO, NEV.) - Barack Obama mocked and derided John McCain today for trying to distance himself from George Bush and for linking him to the administration. Calling it one of the strangest twists of the campaign, Obama said McCain's argument that he will continue Bush's economic policies is senseless.

"Let's be clear: John McCain attacking George Bush for his out-of-hand economic policy is like Dick Cheney attacking George Bush for his go-it-alone foreign policy," Obama said.

Looking to Turn Red States Blue, Obama Campaigns in the West

(RENO, NEV.) - Barack Obama is back on the campaign trail today, after taking a day and half off to visit his ailing grandmother in Hawaii. Obama landed in Reno early this morning to be in place for a rally at the University of Nevada. He will also campaign in Las Vegas, Nev., and Albuquerque, N.M., later today.

Obama's swing out west is an indication that the campaign is becoming increasingly confident in the days leading up to the election. On a conference call yesterday, campaign manager David Plouffe, said their goal is to ensure a victory in the states that John Kerry won in 2004 and then to expand the map. Kerry lost both Nevada and New Mexico in 2004, but the latest poll numbers show Obama leading McCain in both states.

Obama: "My Grandmother's The Last One Left"

(INDIANAPOLIS) Barack Obama heads to Hawaii this afternoon to visit his beloved grandmother, Madelyn Dunham. Dunham has become seriously ill, prompting the Democratic nominee to leave the campaign trail just 12 days before the election. This morning on CBS' "The Early Show", Obama told Harry Smith that he it was important for him to see his grandmother while she is still alert.

"My grandmother's the last one left," Obama said.

Obama Campaigns in "Real" Virginia

(LEESBURG, VA.) - Barack Obama wrapped up a full day of campaigning in Virginia today – where his surrogates repeatedly warned the crowds of thousands that Obama is still an underdog despite leading in most major polls. At a rally in Ida Park tonight, Gov. Tim Kaine, D-Va., said, "It's looking good now, but we have not done this for 44 years. We've gotta assume that we are the underdog in this race until we break the string and claim the victory."

On this crisp, autumn evening, over 30,000 people flooded the park and the downtown area of the city. Just moments after taking the stage, Obama told the crowd that it felt good to be in "real" Virginia. "This looks like authentic Virginia and y'all look like a bunch of Virginians," he said to cheers.

Obama: McCain's in Cahoots With "Joe the CEO"

(RICHMOND, VA.) - Barack Obama brought two more Joe's to the spotlight today, "Joe the Hedge Fund Manager" and "Joe the CEO," as he continued to aggressively defend his tax plan. During a rally at the Richmond Coliseum, Obama argued that he is on "Joe the Plumber's" side while the more affluent Joes are allied with John McCain.

"Joe's cool, I got no problems with Joe. All I want to do is give Joe a tax cut," he said referring the Ohio plumber.

Obama: "Joe Sometimes Engages in Rhetorical Flourishes"

(RICHMOND, VA.) - Although Barack Obama's meeting with the campaign's national security experts today came on the heels of Joe Biden's comments that Obama will "tested" in the first six months of his administration, Obama denied that there is a connection between the two.

"It was prompted by the fact that, I was focused fairly single-mindedly on the financial crisis," Obama explained, adding that the meeting was planned two to three weeks ago.
