The Duke of Cambridge piloted the helicopter that led the search-and-rescue mission, according to the U.K. paper Telegraph.

A spokesman for the Palace told the press: "Prince Carl Philip was the victim of an unprovoked attack by a stranger while with a companion on the night of August 11th outside a club in Cannes, France.

Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, was admitted to a Scottish hospital with a recurrence of the bladder infection he suffered earlier this summer, Buckingham Palace said Wednesday.
Palace officials said Queen Elizabeth II's husband would likely stay in the hospital for a few days for investigation and treatment.

(CBS News) Queen Margrethe of Denmark hosted a reception for Danish Olympians and British and Danish cultural figures Monday aboard the royal yacht Dannebrog.
The 75-year-old yacht is docked in Canary Wharf, London, and is serving as the Danish royal family's residence during the 2012 Olympic Games.

Even the A-listers who do attend, like actress Nicole Kidman and singer Keith Urban, who were at the opening ceremony, have managed to bypass photographers and keep a low profile.
Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger dropped by Olympic Stadium Monday to watch some track and field. It didn't help Britain's medal count, but it reassured celebrity-watchers worried that the world's biggest sporting event might be lacking in star power.
