Michael Douglas Set to Appear on "Stand Up To Cancer" Telethon

NEW YORK (CBS) Actor Michael Douglas has signed on to join a bevy of stars at this week's "Stand Up to Cancer" telethon.

A rep for Douglas confirmed to Access Hollywood that he will make an appearance at the Sept. 10 multi-network TV charity event which aims to raise money for cancer research.

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. (CBS/AP) Calling her "a Lindsay Lohan wannabe," a judge fined "Jersey Shore" star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi $500 on Wednesday and ordered her to perform community service after she pleaded guilty to disturbing others on a beach in July.

Glenn Shadix, "Beetlejuice" Actor," Dies in Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP/CBS) "Beetlejuice" Glenn Shadix, died Tuesday morning in his Birmingham home. He was 58.

Personal manager Juliet Green told The Associated Press that he did not know the cause of death. The actor's sister, Susan Gagne, told The Birmingham News Shadix had been using a wheelchair to get around and he appeared to have fallen in his kitchen and hit his head.

NEW YORK (CBS/AP) AOL is adding famed talk show host Ellen DeGeneres to its family of Internet properties as it looks for ways to draw more people to its sites.

The media company will begin sharing traffic, content and promotions with the website for "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," starting Tuesday. AOL sites such as KitchenDaily.com and Popeater will promote DeGeneres and provide links to her site, and vice versa.

Walters says that she's feeling fine after heart surgery in May and that she has practically no scar.

Leno's "Tonight" Show Ratings Dip Below Conan's

NEW YORK (CBS) Jay Leno's "Tonight Show" ratings aren't giving NBC anything to laugh at.

The summer ratings for the late-night host's "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" were the lowest on record for the long-running program, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Leno is also pulling in a smaller number in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic than his predecessor, Conan O'Brien, did last year.
