2006 Governors Races

Connecticut CBS NEWS PROJECTS M. JODI RELLWINNER Democrat John DeStefano vs. Republican M. Jodi Rell (Incumbent) DeStefano won a very close primary by 51 percent to 49 percent over Stamford Mayor Dan Malloy. The very popular Rell led substantially in the polls throughout the campaign. And while DeStefano raised a solid amount of money, he used most of it in the primary race. Rell had more than four times the cash on hand.
