A Dallas area native, Candice Patton, 18, just completed her freshman year at SMU, where she is a theater major. Being an actor has always been her goal.

Candice prefers drama to musical theater, though she did perform in "Fame" while in high school. “I can do it,” she said. “But I’ve always been looking to do film and TV.”
Candice spent two weeks of last summer at the TVI Actor’s Studio in Los Angeles, where she met with casting directors and coaches and learned some valuable advice about auditioning. “Show who you are right away,” she said. “They want you to be the one. If every actor knew that, there would be so many more successful actors.”
