On March 17, 2004, Las Vegas police arrested Charles A. McCoy Jr. in connection with the Ohio highway shootings that terrorized motorists and left one woman dead. McCoy lived less than a mile north of the 10-mile southern stretch of 1-270 where most of the shootings occurred.
