Whether you're 18 or 80, you can never be sure what tomorrow will bring. And while death is a difficult topic, there are conversations and actions that may greatly affect the kind of life you live. It's important for all adults to talk to their families, doctors, religious advisors and other trusted individuals about their thoughts on end-of-life medical care, and to then put them in writing. There are several key questions to think about, and documents, generally called "advance directives," that help ensure your wishes are carried out.
