Sgt. Lonnie C. Allen Jr., 26, of Bellevue, Neb., was one of four soldiers who died on May 18, 2006, in Baghdad, Iraq, from injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near their HMMWV during combat operations.
Allen was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), based at Fort Drum, N.Y.
