Staff Sgt. George T. Alexander Jr., 34, of Killeen, Texas, died at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, on Oct. 22, 2005, of injuries suffered previously in Samarra, Iraq, when an explosive detonated near his Bradley Fighting Vehicle.
Alexander was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, based at Fort Benning, Ga.
