Sgt. 1st Class Ramon A. Acevedoaponte, 51, of Watertown, N.Y., and another soldier were killed when an explosive detonated near their Humvee on Oct. 26, 2005, near Rustamiyah, Iraq.
Acevedoaponte was assigned to the 3rd Forward Support Battalion, Division Support Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, based at Fort Stewart, Ga.
