Spc. Phillip Edmundson, 22, of Wilson, N.C., was killed on June 1, 2005, when an explosive detonated near his Bradley Fighting Vehicle during combat operations in Ramadi, Iraq.
Edmundson was with the 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division of the U.S. Army, based out of Fort Carson. Colo.
