Tyson, boxing's heavyweight champion at the time, was arrested in July 1991 for the rape of Miss Black Rhode Island, Desiree Washington, in an Indianapolis hotel room. He was convicted of the charge on February 10, 1992.
He was given a sentence of six years and was released on March of 1995 after serving three years.
