Abby Swensen, 4 years old, of Greenville, Ohio, wakes up her dad, Tim Swensen, who's 44. Here is his tribute:
My pixie 4-year-old daughter, Abby, makes sure I have time to make my commute to the University of Dayton School of Law (a 50-minute drive) by waking me up every morning around 6 a.m. by silently entering our bedroom (so as not to also wake her mother), touching my cheek, and whispering, "Daddy, wake up! It's morning. Let me tell you about my dreams!"
Then she and I sit together on our couch in our pajamas, share our beverages of choice (her, chocolate milk; me, coffee), watch cartoons and discuss her dreams, which typically involve various adventures with her brothers, Daniel, 2, and Luke, 1 , as well as multi-colored and kindly unicorns, monkeys and dragons!
