This photo of the Edgar County Courthouse, located in Paris, Illinois, was taken in April 1862 and is the earliest known photograph of the courthouse that Lincoln practiced law in while on circuit. It shows three town representatives leaving for Pittsburg, Tenn., with medical supplies.
