Wisconsin man Jeffrey Dahmer was accused of murdering 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. His murders allegedly involved rape, dismemberment, necrophilia and cannibalism. The court found Dahmer sane and guilty on 15 counts of murder on February 1992. He was sentenced to 15 life terms, totaling 957 years in prison, which was the maximum penalty available in Wisconsin. He was beaten to death in jail by an inmate on Nov. 28, 1994.
