Body of missing Ore. barista found
On Friday, October 19, 2010 authorities found the body of 21-year-old Whitney Heichel on Larch Mountain, a remote, forested area near her Gresham home. Her neighbor, Jonathan Holt, has been arrested in connection to her murder. Heichel disappeared on the morning of Oct. 16, 2012. She was last seen leaving her apartment at about 6:45 a.m., heading to her job as a barista at a nearby Starbucks. She never arrived at work, and her husband, Clinton Heichel, reported her missing around 10 a.m. Detectives confirmed that her ATM card was used at a nearby gas station several hours later and her 1999 Ford Explorer was later spotted sitting in a Walmart parking lot with a broken front passenger-side window.
