Fla. teen Trayvon Martin killed by neighborhood watch volunteer
Unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was slain in the town of Sanford, Fla., on Feb. 26 in a shooting that has set off a nationwide debate over race and justice. Alleged shooter and neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman was charged on April 11, 2012 with second-degree murder and has claimed self-defense in Martin's death.
