CBS Detroit reports Fakih was released at about 4 p.m. Sunday, but a tweet was seen on her Twitter page at about 4:55 p.m. that read, "I'm NOT in Michigan and I'm NOT in jail." That tweet has since been removed.
Elder said Fakih was not the one who posted that tweet. "Because of Rima's demanding schedule, there are others, friends and family, that do have permission to tweet things and to post things on her Facebook account," he said. "I don't believe they were aware of the situation, prior to talking to Rima. And it may have been something that someone else may have been misinformed responded or pasted that information."
