Debra Lafave, now a registered sex offender, wipes her forehead as she leaves a Hillsborough County probation violation hearing Dec 18, 2007. An appellate court reversed a trial judge's decision in August 2012 to end LaFaves 10-year non-prison sentence four years early. LaFave appealed to the Supreme Court in October 2012 and on Dec. 6, 2012, she asked the justices to let her remain off probation until they rule.
