Stunt artist David Blaine, immersed in an 8-foot sphere filled with water, waves to visitors observing his latest stunt, spending a week living in the sphere, at New York's Lincoln Center May 1, 2006. On May 8, the 33-year-old illusionist's attempt to break the world record for being submerged in water for 9 minutes failed. He was rescued at the 7 minute, 8 second mark.
