Almost a sidelight in Jobs' career, computer animation studio Pixar was founded in 1986 with Alvy Ray Smith and Edwin Catmull. Their first film was the 1996 hit "Toy Story." Others included "A Bug's Life," 1998; "Monsters Inc.," 2001; "Finding Nemo," 2003, and "The Incredibles," 2004.
