Sophia Loren
Italian actress Sophia Loren is shown in a 1960s photo. Loren, was born Sofia Scicolone on Sept. 20, 1934, in Rome. She was discovered at age 15 by movie producer Carlo Ponti, 22 years her senior who later became her husband. He died in January 2007 at age 94.
