Heavy Floods Hit England
Rescue services navigate the flood waters, in the streets of Cockermouth, England, Friday Nov. 20, 2009, as they work to rescue stranded residents from their homes following heavy rains caused local flooding. At least 960 homes were flooded by water up to 8 feet deep after a day of unprecedented rain, police in the northern region of Cumbria said.
