At a morning meeting of UNASUR on Saturday, April 18, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez handed President Obama a copy of a book: "The Open Veins of Latin America," about the exploitation of the region by North American and European interests. Asked later about the present, Mr. Obama replied, "I thought it was one of Chavez' books. I was going to give him one of mine."
