Belarus Election Protests
Police walk in Oktyabrskaya Square, in central Minsk, Belarus, near flowers placed on a lamppost, Friday, March 24, 2006, to commemorate a protest camp that was broken-up before dawn by police who arrested hundreds of people. Demonstrators at the camp had maintained a round-the-clock vigil as part of protests against the re-election of President Alexander Lukashenko in a disputed vote.
