Olympics: The thrill and the agony

The 21-year-old European champion lifted 151kg to beat her own previous mark of 148kg set in November 2011.

Though Kashirina set a record in the snatch, she was topped in the clean and jerk by China's Shou Lulu, who took the gold medal on overall points.
