2004 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree lighting ceremony

The U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree after being lit in front of the U.S. Capitol building, December 9, 2004 in Washington, D.C. House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., hosted the official tree lighting ceremony. The 79-year-old red spruce from Virginia weighed approximately 9,200 hundred and was 67 feet tall.
