Petraeus' mistress Paula Broadwell

Journalist Paula Broadwell with Gen. David Petraeus. Petraeus resigned his post as CIA director on Nov. 9, 2012, admitting to an extramarital affair.

FBI investigators who were checking into a security issue involving the CIA Director's computer stumbled upon emails between Petraeus and Broadwell.

Broadwell was a writer and reserve Army officer who wrote the 2012 book "All In: The Education of General David Petraeus."
