Jean Harlow

Born Harlean Harlow Carpenter on March 3, 1911, in Kansas City, Mo., the MGM star oozed sex appeal and was known as the "Platinum Blonde" for her famous hair. While filming "Saratoga" with Clark Gable in 1937, Harlow collapsed on set and was rushed to the hospital, diagnosed with uremic poisoning. She died just days later, at the age of 26. In her short career, she made 36 films.
