Oscar celebrates Governors Award recipients

Oscar-winning writer/director Quentin Tarantino ("Pulp Fiction") speaks as part of the award presentation to Honorary Award recipient Hal Needham during the 2012 Governors Awards Saturday, December 1, 2012. Needham, a veteran stunt man and stunt coordinator who also directed films such as "Smokey and the Bandit," developed new ways of performing and directing death-defying movie stunts.

In introducing Needham, Tarantino said the director "pushed the boundaries of what could be done in action," adding, "I've ripped off many shots from you."
