In Minnesota you are less likely to die an early death than anywhere in the U.S., according to the rankings. The state also reported the fewest heart disease deaths and scored high marks for its third-lowest diabetes prevalence.

Minnesota did report the highest infectious disease rate in the country, and could aim to reduce the number of binge drinkers (44th).
