Water-absorbing ball

This abdominal x-ray of an 8-month-old infant shows multiple dilated loops of her small intestine. The girl was hospitalized and needed surgery to remove a Water Balz toy. The girl had swallowed the ball when it was the size of a marble, but it grew in size within 15 hours.
