Whether it's a big celebration like New Years Eve and St. Paddy's or just a night out with friends, lots of Americans like to drink. But some cities are notorious for having more drinkers - regardless of whether there's something to celebrate. For its second annual list of the "drunkest" cities in the U.S., The Daily Beast used data from leading research firm Experian Simmons and the CDC to look at more than 200 cities and get to the bottom of which one was booziest.
What makes a city drunker than others? The Daily Beast took into account the amount people said they drank per month and the percentage of the population that are binge drinkers.
