Four shot dead in French Alps

French gendarmes stand near a vehicle on Sept. 6, 2012, in Saint-Jorioz, in the camping "Le Solitaire du lac", where a British family stayed prior to be found shot dead in or close to a British-registered car in the French Alpine village of Chevaline. The body of a second man, a cyclist, was found nearby along with a seriously wounded girl, who was in a critical condition in intensive care after being taken to hospital by helicopter. Another four-year-old child was also discovered alive eight hours later in the car.
