First gay wedding day in N.Y.

New York City Council Speaker Christine C. Quinn (left) and her partner Kim Catullo attend the wedding of Marcos A. Chaljub and Freddy L. Sambrano at the Manhattan City Clerk's office on the first day New York State's Marriage Equality Act goes into effect July 24, 2011 in New York City. Quinn confirmed that there have been weddings in all five boroughs already this morning: "Marriage equality is alive and well in every borough in the city of New York."
