The coffin containing the remains of Dorothy Height is carried down the steps of the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, Thursday, April 29, 2010, by an honor guard. Height, who led the National Council of Negro Women for decades and marched with the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., was remembered at a funeral service at Washington National Cathedral for her leadership on the front lines fighting for equality, education and to ease racial tension. She died last week at age 98.
