Joe Saenz, one of FBI's most-wanted fugitives, arrested in Mexico for murder, kidnapping and rape, officials say
(CBS/AP) MEXICO CITY - A Los Angeles man listed in the FBI's most-wanted fugitives list was arrested by Mexican federal police Thursday on murder, kidnapping and rape charges.
U.S. officials in California said 37-year-old Joe Saenz was taken into custody in the western city of Guadalajara late Thursday and flown to Los Angeles on Friday. There was a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to his arrest.
The FBI said Saenz is accused in the shooting deaths of two rival gang members in Los Angeles in July 1998. He then allegedly kidnapped, raped and murdered his girlfriend less than two weeks later. Saenz is also accused of a fourth murder in Los Angeles County in October 2008.
