Toddler wounded in Conn. drive-by shooting, two arrested
(CBS/AP) NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Teenagers Joseph Metteus and Tythrone Ford were arrested Sunday in the drive-by shooting of a 16-month-old New Haven boy last week, CBS Connecticut reports.
Tramire Miller was shot in the stomach on Wednesday while being held by his aunt on the front porch of their home. The alleged shooters are two young men believed to be affiliated with the "Grape Street Crips" gang.
New Haven police believe that the toddler, who underwent surgery and is recovering at home, was an innocent bystander.
Police are currently investigating whether Tramire's shooting was related to other gunfire that occurred on Stevens street that day. There is a known feud between the Grape Street Crips and the Kensington Street based "Tre Bloods."
