MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (CBS/AP) Shocking new details have emerged in the sexual assault case against Ben Roethlisberger.
According to a police report released Thursday, the young woman says she tried to get away from the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and told him "no, this is not OK."
Roethlisberger didn't listen, had sex with her in a bathroom and his body guards prevented her friends from rescuing her, the victim and her friends claimed in the report.
"I told him it wasn't OK; no, we don't need to do this, and I proceeded to get up and try to leave," the 20-year old accuser said. "I went to the first door I saw, which happened to be the bathroom, and shut the door behind him. I still said no, this is not OK, and he then had sex with me. He said it was OK. He then left without saying anything."
In the documents, the woman also claimed that the NFL star told her and her friends to take shots of alcohol, before the alleged sexual assault occurred.
The prosecutor said Monday the woman asked him not to pursue the case, and that the accusations could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
Roethlisberger has denied the accusations, which stem from an incident at a Milledgeville, Ga. nightclub March 5.
Friends of the alleged victim told police Roethlisberger's bodyguards took the alleged victim down the hall to a bathroom. The police documents also say the woman's friends told the bodyguards she was drunk and shouldn't be alone with the football player, but that the guards still prevented them from seeing her.
At a news conference about the incident Thursday, Steelers president Art Rooney II says the team is ready to discipline Roethlisberger but the punishment will be coordinated with the NFL and won't pre-empt any league action. "I have made it clear to Ben that his conduct in this incident did not live up to our standards," Rooney said.
He said Roethlisberger told him he is prepared to accept disciplinary action.
