"Dark Shadows" steps into the spotlight at two premieres
(CBS/AP) "Dark Shadows" is hogging the spotlight on two continents this week.
The Johny Depp vampire movie, which opens Friday in the U.S., had a Hollywood premiere Monday night and London premiere Wednesday.
Based on a popular 1960s TV series of the same name, the movie, directed by Tim Burton, also stars Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller, Chloe Grace Moretz, and Bella Heathcote, all of whom were on hand at the Monday premiere.
Also on the red carpet were rocker Alice Cooper, who has a cameo in the movie, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and octogenarian actress Cloris Leachman.
The party afterward was said to be lively with Tyler, Cooper and Depp jamming together.
In London, Burton was joined by his partner, British actress Helena Bonham Carter. Also walking the red carpet in the UK capital were Depp, Pfeiffer, Green and Moretz.
